Lemon

With yellow and extremely citrus scents, lemon is a tart and refreshing olfactory note. A luminous and energizing fragrance, which embodies a scent of purity, dynamism and joy. Typically used as a top note, citrus boots olfactory creations with a vital, fresh, sparkling, floral and green twist.

Known as one of the main symbols of the Mediterranean coasts, in reality, however, lemon has Asian origins and was originally found in the Far East. The etymology of its name derives from the ancient French "limon", which comes from the Arabic "laymun" and the Persian "limun" that indicates the category of citrus fruits. The first clear descriptions of the use of lemon for therapeutic purposes date back to the works of Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and scientist student of Aristotle, who is considered the founder of phytotherapy.

Lemon is the result of a natural hybridization between cedar, lime and grapefruit. Comprising 160 species, it is the only fruit to produce flowers and fruit at the same time, throughout the year. Among its properties, it is said to provide a soothing and calming effect on the psyche and nervous system.
