Grapefruit

Rich in fresh and vibrant scents, grapefruit stands out from other citrus essences, thanks to its bitter, juicy and invigorating fragrance. When combined with other notes, it adds a certain unique hint to fragrances, by adding character as a top note thanks to the aromatic aspects of the peel, and softness as a base and heart note, through the fruity nuances of the pulp.

Landed on the Barbados Islands thanks to the intervention of an East India Company captain during his global wanderings, around the mid-18th century, the modern predecessor of the grapefruit, Citrus paradisi, spread beyond Barbados and was found in the Caribbean and the Bahama in a smaller variant. Later, the citrus fruit made its way to the warm climate of Florida, where it continued to thrive, growing in large clusters of golden spheres and earning its common name.

A refreshing and stimulating essence, grapefruit is known for boosting concentration and good mood, representing a useful support in counteracting physical and mental imbalances, thanks to its ability to convey lightness and well-being.
